WELCOME TO THE FORT LEAVENWORTH SCHOOL DISTRICT!   All Elementary Parent meeting on August 4, 2010 at 3:00PM at neighborhood elementary school.
Technology Services Department
Instructor: Alan Landever
Our Students will live in the 21st Century our mission is to help teachers prepare them for it.

The USD207 Technology Services Department has had a busy summer preparing for the 2010/11 School Year. We are eager to welcome back the teachers and students and to share with them the details of the many projects we have implemented - see scrolling list below..·

This summer we also facilitated a Technology Leadership Academy with teachers representing every building and grade level. This group explored a wide variety of Instructional Technology tools and learned from a wide range of subject matter experts. Our team of Technology Leaders is now prepared to help lead and support their colleagues as we all work together to maximize the district's investment in a world class technology infrastructure and set of instructional technology tools.

  • Expanding the number of student workstations in each classroom from 3 to 5.

  • New email and network storage systems that will significantly improve collaboration and the creative use of these resources.

  • Reconfigured and expanded wireless network system to meet the growing needs of wireless access to network and internet resources.

  • Expanded the programmatic scope of our Discovery Education Media Server.

  • Reprogrammed network switches and routers and redesigned power filtering and backup systems to strengthen our core networking systems.

  • Virtualized Servers and Desktop Systems lowering power requirements while improving service protocols.
